The State of Alabama has selected HMB Professional Engineers for Transportation Support Services (TSS) contract. The decision was announced this week as part of a standard qualification-based selection process held by the state.
HMB has held the TSS Contract (statewide design) every year since 2010. This contract includes roadway design, bridge design, environmental studies, traffic signal design, fiber optic design, ITS services and electrical engineering services.
“Our selection for the TSS Contract, as well as other Alabama statewide contracts, is a testament to our valued relationship and teamwork between HMB and the Alabama Department of Transportation,” stated Principle-in-Charge Brian Hynniman. “We look forward to continuing this relationship over the next two years and providing innovative engineering services for clients like ALDOT and other Transportation Departments throughout the southeast.”
HMB is also currently serving on several ALDOT statewide contracts, including the TSS contract, the Surveying Contract, and the Bat Surveys contract. The firm has performed a variety of projects through the statewide contracts with some of the most recent assignments included the SR-52 widening roadway plans and USACE Permit in Geneva County, AL; the SR-52 Roundabout plans and environmental document in Geneva County, AL; SR-69 Intersection Improvements in Tuscaloosa County, AL; SR-158 Widening, Survey and Environmental Studies, in Mobile County, AL; and 20 bat habitat assessments and bat surveys.
